Hi Jen Louden Virtual Retreatants!

Thanks so much for joining my session this morning, “Conquering Fear, Gaining Peace.” I truly hope it was helpful and you’re feeling gentle (toward yourself), taking delight (in others), and feeling confident (about life).

To stay in touch, please sign up for my newsletter which goes out about once a month and includes tips, info, and articles about meditation, courage, creativity, loving kindness, all that good stuff.

I really enjoyed the session myself. Here’s what it looks like where I was sitting when we spoke. Snowstorm outside. Cozy inside.

Here are some of the resources and exercises we discussed today:

Thank you for this most wonderful gift of a session on the Virtual Retreat! You exuded loving kindness in everything that you shared… and I feel enveloped comforted and encouraged by it.

Thank you dear Gayatri. My wish is that our session would have exactly the affect you describe, so it means a lot to hear these words. Blessings to you!

Thank you Susan for the session this morning. Your advice was so practical and heartfelt. It was beautiful and I’m very grateful to now have your shared wisdom in my spiritual toolkit!

Susan, Thank you for the session today. I was very moved by it; still absorbing the wisdom. I’m in an intellectually-thrilling job right now, which I love, but I find it’s taken a toll on my spiritual centering. Your thoughts and ideas today have really shined light on how I can get back there. Thank you, again! Lisa

    Susan,

The session today was very beautiful and it was if you were speaking directly to me, about me, and for me. I’ve tried meditation before but not framed in the context you described so I’m determined to practice again . . . thank you for this incredible gift.

    Mari

Kelley, Lisa, and Mari, thank you so much for these encouraging messages. I wish you all the very best with your spiritual practice and if I can be helpful, please tell me.

    Susan,
It was so lovely to hear your voice. I like your book, but sometimes the words sink more deeply when I hear the author speak. In this case you touched my heart this morning and I want to thank you.

    Kara, you are so welcome.

  9. Kim { 01.19.09 at 9:31 am }

    Susan,
I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to find the words to thank you properly. You see, EVERYTHING you talked about spoke to me…it was as if I had found what I’ve been searching for all my life. I’m sure that must sound weird but it’s so true. I’ve spent hours reading your blog and experiencing AHA moments over and over. I feel inspired and validated, excited and hopeful.
I think I can sum my feelings up in two words….YOU ROCK!

Kim, this makes me so happy. The dharma has this amazing capacity to make complete sense, on the spot. The deeper you go with it, the more it makes sense. I’m so glad it spoke to you. And I love being told I ROCK!!

I wish you the best with your practice, whatever it is!

    Dear Susan -
Responsibilities prevented me from doing 4 days, or even 1 day, in a row. Only today have I gotten to Sunday’s sessions, and have finally listened to your mini-retreat. I was blown away by your down-to-earth “translation” of Buddhist pratice and concepts as they relate to fear, and by your ability to apply your experience to participant questions. Your loving kindness enthusiasm is contagious! Thank you!
PS: I would like to subscribe to your newsletter, but am running into problems at sign-up. Any other way to do this?
