When it comes to dating and relationships, we’re all pretty confused. In an effort to become unconfused, find true love, and avoid heartbreak, we try on different philosophies. We ask our friends to weigh in. We read a lot of books. We hit the bars in a search for “The One.”

Buddhism has much to teach on the topic of romantic love. It has guidance for how to love oneself, how to fall in love and how to survive love’s loss. It has amazing dating advice and equally amazing suggestions for how to make love last. Who knew?

Join writers and Buddhist teachers Susan Piver and Lodro Rinzler for a six week online course on the mindful approach to dating, falling in love, creating a good partnership, and surviving heartbreak. Meditation instruction is offered, alongside experiential exercises and homework, rich discussion, and practical tools for how to love in all the various aspects of your life. Susan Piver is a practitioner and teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage and founder of the Open Heart Project. She is the author of eight books, most of which are about relationships.

Lodro Rinzler is a practitioner and teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage and founder of the Institute for Compassionate Leadership. He is the author of two books: The Buddha Walks into a Bar and Walk Like a Buddha. Lodro writes from his apartment in New York City, which he shares with his dog Tillie and his cat, Justin Bieber.
