Hello, dear meditator.
I hope you are well and enjoying this season of transition. I’m glad to be back home after a very busy summer of traveling. I’m fixing to be home for a solid month! That makes me happy. I hope you are feeling happy, too.
In this week’s video, I make an effort to address questions many of us (including myself) share: How do I know who to trust in the world of spirituality? And if I find out that a teacher is untrustworthy, does that invalidate their teaching?
These are very important questions and I encourage you to hold them, contemplate them, and trust your own wisdom and discernment to discover the answers that make sense to you as our world continues to be rocked by allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct in some spiritual communities (and, frankly, everywhere), including my own.
TRIGGER WARNING: Though I don’t describe any incidences of abuse in this video, if you are a victim and prefer not to listen, please don’t. Take good care of yourself and know that your community supports you and sends love.
With love, Susan
