Hello and welcome to your practice. It is great to practice together!

Before today’s 10-minute sit, I offer you a very simple definition of discipline. Though it is not easy to be disciplined, it is predicated on one very simple gesture that you can make within your own mind. Check out the video to hear more about it and how your meditation practice teaches you to do it.

Finally, in today’s video I ask you to help me out by answering a few questions. I’ve been making these videos now for a few years and though I feel like I know you, I actually don’t! You could answer these questions in the comments field below or by making a little video on your smart phone and sending it to me at susan@susanpiver.com or just email me. I appreciate it.

Who are you?

Where are you?

What are you working on?

How can I help?

How has your practice been going?

I look forward to getting to know a little bit about you.

Enjoy!

With love, Susan

Hi Susan. Many thanks for your wonderful teachings and meditations. I really like your approach. I am in a small rural village in New Zealand. I work as a coach / counselling psychologist part-time in our nearby city and am developing a couple of on-line courses on Well-being. Discipline is an ongoing challenge for me. Particularly related to well-being. As they say ‘you teach best what you most need to know’ – I hope this is true! With regard to work, I can be very disciplined (in the sense of just return and start again – to the point of over-doing it) – not so disciplined in terms of taking breaks etc. How you can help is to keep on offering these great sessions. I find your approach very encouraging. My practice is a bit sporadic – but I’m working on it! Again, many thanks for what you do. Angela
