Hello, dear meditator,

Knowing that we “see” each other on Mondays is the highlight of my week!

For those of us in the US (and elsewhere), this is a very intense week–our midterm elections. There is so much hope, fear, anger, and trauma right now. Because of this, the question I’ve chosen to answer for this week’s video is this, from Joanne:

So we normally go along in our lives happily and then a death occurs. Sometimes we know it’s going to happen and sometimes we don’t and we are shaken. Either way we are shaken. Now the widow, mother, sister or friend, we too are transformed in some way. We might not have been here before to this depth. How do we keep it together going through the fire of transformation. If that is what it is. What is ‘keeping it together’? Oh so many questions. Joanne

In many ways, this is the only question worth considering: where do we go when the ground shakes beneath our feet? Sometimes we are shaken by the loss of a loved one but we can also be shaken by the loss of a dream, an ideal, a possibility. In this video, I hope I offered something useful, especially during this week

Thank you so much to Joanne for posing this question.

Keep me posted. You are in my heart, each and all.

Susan

PS Stay tuned to the end of the video for a special announcement about a Loving Kindness Meditation for the USA on Nov 6…and CATS.
